This series shows three famous bravery scenes, relating to Minamoto-no-Yoshitsune and the battle sites of the snow, the moon and the flower. Sato Shirôhyôe Tadanobu (1161-1186), one of the loyal four most brave of Minamoto-no-Yoshitsune is depicted in the center in Yoshitsune’s armor. When he heard that the army monks are going to attack Yoshitsune on the Yoshino mountain, he disguised himself as Yoshitsune. One of the army monks, Yokokawa Zenshi Kakuhan, is seen on the left sheet.
